October 2014: In line with Get Smarter Energy's intenton to expore the education space, Get Smarter Energy exhibits at The Higher & Further Education Show 2014 at Olympia, London.

August 2014: Get Smarter Energy is pleased to announce that it has managed to achieve around a 20% reduction in energy usage in the first 6 months of operating the Energy Management Portal at Cheltenham College. Click here to read more.

April 2014: Get Smarter Energy Presents its Energy Management Portal to the Estates Bursars Conference for Leading Independent Schools, hosted by Cheltenham College. Cheltenham College are so delighted with the Energy Management Portal which Get Smarter Energy has developed for them, that we were asked to present this at the Estates Bursars Conference they hosted. This informal Bursars Association promotes best practice amongst its members who include Charterhouse, Eton, Harrow, Marlborough, Millfield and Westminster, amongst others.

February 2014: Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form College Signs up for Electric with Get Smarter Energy. The newly formed Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form College, part of the Norwich based Inspiration Trust, starts its first year with electricity supply brokered by Get Smarter Energy, with gas to follow. Embarking on its first full academic year as a newly formed Free School, the college will know that, in partnership with Get Smarter Energy, its energy management is starting off on the right foot. In the first stage, Get Smarter Energy will provide remote AMR (Automated Meter Readings) through the Get Smarter Energy web facility.

December 2013: Get Smarter Energy Completes Initial Rollout of Cheltenham College Energy Management Portal. Get Smarter Energy's partner company SCC's Intelligent Infrastructure Management (I2M©) platform, with BMS (Building Management System) capability, has been installed across all 25 zones/buildings plant rooms. To this has been added AMR (Automated Meter Reading) from 64 mains billing meters (27 electric and 37 gas), thus providing an integrated, estate-wide, BEMS (Buildings Energy Management System). Get Smarter Energy is now embarking on its year one energy savings programme with Cheltenham College, facilitated by the extensive Energy Management Portal now in place.

July 2013: Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, Sheffield Park Appoints Get Smarter Energy to Procure its Energy and Build its Energy Management Portal. Get Smarter Energy has renewed electric and gas supply contracts for Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, Sheffield Park, through Get Smarter Energy's extensive panel of energy suppliers. With the Available Investment Capital (AIC) which will be generated, this will allow Get Smarter Energy and the luxury upscale hotel, part of the Longrose Buccleuch Group, to embark on Get Smarter Energy's unique energy procurement/gain share funding programme. This will start with remote AMR (Automated Meter Reading) on Get Smarter Energy's web platform - and the survey has been carried out for installation of Get Smarter Energy's partner SCC Intelligent Infrastructure Management (I2M©) platform.

July 2013: Perei Lighting Signs Up for Electric with Get Smarter Energy. Perei Lighting, part of the Aldershot based Perei Group, which provides specialist automotive lighting, has renewed its electric supply contract through Get Smarter Energy. As part of the formative energy management relationship Get Smarter Energy is providing Perei with remote electric consumption data.

July 2013: Get Smarter Energy Saves Al-Madinah School Over £19,000. As part of establishing new electric and gas supply contracts for Al-Madinah High School in Derby, Get Smarter Energy saved the Education Trust over £19,000, by re-negotiating back-dated 'out of contract' electric prices and rectifying erroneous electric double billing. Next stage is for the school to be provided with remote AMR (Automated Meter Reading) through the Get Smarter Energy web facility, as part of a formative energy management programme with this new school.

April 2013: Cheltenham College Signs Energy Management Contract with Get Smarter Energy. The contract, funded through Get Smarter Energy's unique energy procurement/gain share funding model, will see the investment of over £100,000 on the estate at no cost to the College. In phase 1, Get Smarter Energy's partner Smart Carbon Control Ltd (SCC), I2M© platform is being deployed across the multi-site estate, with sensors and intelligent control deployed to all 25 plant rooms, along with AMR (Automated Meter Reading) of the 67 electric and gas billing meters. Steve Meeks, Chairman of Get Smarter Energy says, 'This is an exciting 5 year contract for Get Smarter Energy as it further proves the Get Smarter Energy funding model within the education market. With our partners, SCC, we expect to drive over 20% energy demand reduction into the estate without the need for any capital investment from Cheltenham College. I2M© will, for the first time, provide the management team near real time estate energy data as well as providing automated control of the key energy using infrastructure thus driving down energy use. The data will also be made available to students, thus driving behaviour change to the student population. We look forward to working with Cheltenham College over the coming years.'
